Female idol groups SISTAR and Secret will be receiving awards at the 2013 Republic of Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
Both groups have confirmed that they will be attending the event to receive the awards, which will be held on November 18 at 6pm.
The Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards is an annual government awarding ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and supported by the Korea Creative Contents Agency. The KPCAA honors singers, actors, models and others in the creative field who have helped in promoting the growth and exposure of Korean pop culture and the arts.
Aside from SISTAR and Secret, other Korean celebrities such as actors Jang Seo Hee and Shin Hyun Joon; comedian Kim Joon Ho, model Go Eun Kyung, and singer Eru will be receiving an award for their efforts to endorse Korean culture overseas.
Kpop groups who've previously received awards include SHINee, 2NE1 and Girls Generation.
