The venue of the expo, Sultanahmet Square, was a great masterpiece in architecture, which is a mark in Istanbul's history.
The World Expo featured Gyeongsang Province ang Gyeonju's history and culture, giving visitors an insight of Korean traditional culture. The event also displayed different food and products of 19 countries, which are for sale and called "Silk Road Bazaar, so that everyone can experience their respective cultures.
The highlight of the event was last September 8; K-pop groups such as Miss A, Ailee, MBLAQ, FTISLAND and Super Junior flew to Istanbul to showcase their music to their fans from Turkey and even Europe. The 9,000 eager fans from the host country and different countries watched the groups perform for three hours, hence, gaining Turkey more than one million visitors.
