Following the announcement of Taeyang's concert in San Francisco, California, there are new reports saying many major US entertainment labels are gaining interest in the Korean artist with talks on catapulting him into the world's largest music market.
It was confirmed on November 21 that Taeyang has been receiving a lot of calls and request from American music labels. The names of the said music labels were not revealed, but it was said that one of them is a very dominant company in the US. Taeyang, on the other hand, is still deliberating on what he should do next.
According to a source, the calls came in after Taeyang made his comeback with "Ringa Linga". While local listeners may have found "Ringa Linga's" sound too foreign with its strong hip hop influences, "Ringa Linga" made a massive appeal to the American audience.
YG Entertainment, on their part, is highly supportive of Taeyang's opportunities and endeavours overseas as there are only few R&B artists who can sing and dance like Taeyang can so he has a really good shot of breaking into its market.
The only downside on Taeyang's behalf is Big Bang's hectic scheduled. The group is currently moving from city to city in Japan for their 6-Dome concert series and the singer will make a special performance at the 2013 MAMA. Squeezing in more time for Taeyang's US promotions could pose a problem.
However, Taeyang has already been scheduled to perform in San Francisco, California, on November 26, so there have been speculations that the singer may meet up and discuss in detail with US company execs at the time given.
