TVXQ Confirms Dome Concert in Japan Next Year

TVXQ has set the record of being the first foreign artist to hold a concert at the Tokyo Dome for three straight years.

Male idol group TVXQ is coming out with one good news after another. Now it definitely feels like Christmas.

After recently announcing the release of a new album to celebrate their 10th year in the music industry, the duo has also announced that they will holding a concert at the Tokyo Dome, becoming the first non-Japanese artist to have a show at the said venue for three consecutive years.

The announcement was made during TVXQ's fan meet event, held at the Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on November 23. The boys of TVXQ said, "Starting in April next year, we will go on a nationwide tour in Japan. We've decided to hold a series of concerts at the Tokyo Dome specifically on May 20, 21, 23. All in all, we will be holding 26 concerts in 11 countries across Japan."

The announcement brought loud cheers from the fans who attended the event.

The news of their concert also caught the attention of the local press and it was published on Japan's Oricon Sankei Newspaper and Nikkan Sports.

The media outlets also stated that TVXQ has set a new record of being the first foreign artist to stage a solo concert at the historical Tokyo Dome in three straight years. The said dome can hold up to 55,000 audience members.  

The TVXQ fan meet was attended by 36,000 fans on November 23. Aside from the interview, TVXQ always made a special rendition of their Christmas track titled "Very Merry Xmas". The single will be released officially on November 27.
