Following the trend of celebrity information being sold over the internet, SHINee member Jonghyun gave his two cents on this issue, warning against those who involve themselves with the trade.
Jonghyun took to Twitter on November 25 and said, “I heard that someone is selling personal information of celebrities including myself for a dollar or two,” the singer continued, “I’ve receiving prank calls lately. I really pray that this isn’t true. Selling personal information is unlawful. If this turns out to be true, I will report the perpetrator to the police.”
Recently, there have been several online communities selling personal information of celebrities such as phone numbers. This said information are not validated or proven authentic, but there are still a good number of celebrities being disturbed by the nuisance.
Jonghyun has been very outspoken about matters that affect the welfare of celebrities, announcing that he will be taking strong legal actions against the criminals. Aside from that, Jonghyun also gave his comment about wireless phone laws and later revealed that going into politics is not in his plans for the future.
