A Provisional Conclusion has been Released by Police Regarding the Deaths of Leeteuk's Father and Grandparents

Investigators have revealed their investigation of what happened to Leeteuk's family members The police department responsible for the investigation of deaths of Leeteuk's father, Park Yong In, grandfather, Park Hyun Suk, and grandmother, Chun Kyung Tae, released some concluding information about the case.

The police department responsible for the investigation of deaths of Leeteuk's father, Park Yong In, grandfather, Park Hyun Suk, and grandmother, Chun Kyung Tae, released some concluding information about the case.

Dongjak Police Department stated that on January 6, the bodies of Leeteuk's father and grandparents were found at their house around 9:20AM by Mr. Park's nephew/niece, who have contacted the police. Leeteuk's grandparents were found asphyxiated, lying side by side on a bed, while his father was in the same room hanging from a wardrobe handle. A suicide note was also seen in the scene stating, "I will take my parents and go to heaven together so live well." It also had the message, "I am sorry to my children."

Investigators stated that after divorcing with Leeteuk's mother in 1998, his father lived alone from his children with his parents. For the last few years, Leeteuk's grandfather began to suffer from dementia, and to make matters not as good as it is, Leeteuk's grandmother, who was the one taking care of her husband, has been diagnosed and bedridden last year with late-stage lung cancer with the additional complication of dementia. Leeteuk's father took care of his parents, however with a debt of hundreds of millions of won because of business failure and the house has been forfeited, he decided to put his parents into a recuperating hospital. However, a day before he would be placing them into the hospital, Leeteuk's father took the lives of his parents and committed suicide.

The police then said, "We have made the provisional conclusion that Mr. Park took the lives of his parents and committed suicide due to being overwhelmed with his struggles. According to his family, Mr. Park suffered from depression."

Dongjak Police Department also said that it does not plan to do an official briefing or to perform an autopsy on the deceased as they said, "We judged that it is enough with just the deceased's family's testimony. With the cause of death comparatively clear, we will not be performing an autopsy."

It has been reported that the funeral is being held at the Korea University Guro Hospital.
