Following the success of their new track "Something", Girl's Day will also be receiving the "Long-Run Song Award" for "Expectation", which was released in March last year. The group will be receiving the award at the "3rd Gaon Chart K-pop Awards".
DreamTea Entertainment confirmed the news and said, "It is true that Girl's Day's 'Expectation' is the winner of this year's award for the longest running song. The confirmation was made by the reps from Gaon Chart. The girls will be receiving the said honour at the '3rd Gaon Chart K-pop Awards' in February 12."
"Expectation", hit the Gaon Digital's Top 50 chart for 15 consecutive weeks after its release in March 14. The song, together with their other hit tracks "Female President" and "Something, earned the girls an increasing following and a stable popularity in and out of Korea.
Oh Sang Jin and Girls' Generation member Kwon Yuri will be hosting the "3rd Gaon Chart K-pop Awards"
