DPS Media has announced recent news about developments regarding KARA following the departure of former Nicole and Jiyoung. The entertainment agency revealed that they will be recruiting new members to replace the two ex-members. With this, KARA will be promoting in the first half of the year as a five-member group.
A high-ranking official from DSP Media stated, “Once KARA members Han Seungyeon and Park Gyuri finish their individual activities, the group will be reorganized with two new members. Following that we will be releasing a new song for KARA’s comeback.”
The agency is currently in preparing the recruitment process for KARA’s new members, which will selected from DSP Media’s pool of trainees. An official from the agency said, “We won’t be simply choosing two trainees, but the selection process will be in a way that the current members of KARA and the fans will agree with the decision.” The said official also assured that the agency will be releasing further information regarding the recruitment.
In the meantime, Nicole Jung has flown to the United States to enrol in vocal and dance classes as part of her preparations for a solo career. Kang Jiyoung, on the other hand, has stated that she will not renew her contract with DSP, and will thus only stay with the group until her contract naturally expires in April.
