Girl group Stellar recently announced their comeback. However, the group's newly unveiled music video is gaining much attention and criticism due to its excessive sexual content.
For the music video for "Marionette" the members are wearing sexy costumes and lingerie, with some members even going nude. Other than the clothing concept, the group's dance routine and several scenes on the video were criticised for being too sexually suggestive.
Furthermore, the marketing campaign for "Marionette" was also frowned upon by critics. Through the group's Facebook page, the group posted a message on February 12 saying, "Oppa! I will do exactly what you ask me to - Marionette game."
In the Facebook campaign, several mosaicked photos of Stellar members were posted, and they would only be unveiled if they received a certain number of likes.
In response to Stellar's bold move to promote their new material, netizens commented that it seemed too much and too suggestive.
Stellar will begin promotions for "Marionette" this week starting with their performance on Mnet "M! Countdown" on February 13.
What do you guys think of Stellar's new concept?
