Two Million Twitter Followers For The Queen of K-pop

BoA has just got into the 2 million mark of followers for Twitter. Boa Kwon, or most known as, BoA, must be celebrating because of having 2 million followers in Twitter.

Boa Kwon, or most known as, BoA, must be celebrating because of having 2 million followers in Twitter. The queen of K-pop and the judge of the reality show, "K-pop Star," use her social networking site to promote her activities and talk to her celebrity friends though; she does not post many selcas or pictures. She also is one of the celebrities with most followers, followed by Miss A's Suzy who has 1.95 million followers.

BoA has been proclaimed the queen of K-pop because of being one of the pioneers in the industry. She debuted for SM Entertainment at the age of 13 in year 2000 with the album, ID; Peace B, which was in the Top 10 in the South Korean music charts and selling 156,000 units. Meanwhile, her Korean record label, SM Entertainment, made arrangements with Japanese label Avex Trax to launch her music career in Japan. In the year 2001, BoA released her first mini-album, "Don't Start Now," which sold around 90,000 units. In the same year, she released her debut Japanese single, a Japanese version of the song, "ID; Peace B." The single reached #20 on the Oricon chart and was followed by "Amazing Kiss", "Kimochi wa Tsutawaru", and "Listen to My Heart"; the last became the singer's first single to enter the Oricon's Top Five.

At a young age, BoA has already captured the hearts of the public and she continues to capture the hearts of many around the world especially when she made her debut in America last October 2008 for the song, "Eat You Up."

No wonder she has a lot of Twitter followers and hopefully there will be more.
