MBLAQ has just ended their partnership with Japanese record label Sony Music, and has transferred to Ivy Records.
Sony Music Japan has been handling many famous Japanese and South Korean artists, including Mika Nakashima, Depapepe, L’Arc-en-Ciel, 2PM, and 2AM. While, Ivy Records manages solo singers like Monique, Daisuke Mori, and Anri.
While in Sony, the band that comprises of Seungho, G.O, Lee Joon, Thunder, and Mir, had successfully got the first on the Oricon chart with their debut single, “Your Luv”, in 2011.
“For MBLAQ’s growth we wanted to work side by side with their Japanese agency, and we plan to slowly reach the top,” explained by J. Tune Camp, the group's agency, stating the reason why they had to move to a different label company.
MBLAQ is set to release their third Japanese single album, “Still In Love”, on February 26 under their new record label company.
