K-pop artists scored awards at the recently held Japan Gold Disk Awards 2014.

Some of the winners includes, TVXQ (Best Asian Artist, Album of the Year), B.A.P (New Artist of the Year, Best New Artist), Seo In Guk (Best New Artist), and Girls' Generation (Best Album).

The Japan Gold Disk Awards is organized by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) and was established in 1987. The purpose of the event is to recognize artists for their exemplary contributions in the recording industry.

Specific awards are determined by several criteria, including album sales. For this year, album sales from November 1, 2013 until December 31, 2013 were included in the tally.

The nominations were not limited to Japanese and other Asian acts. International artists such as Little Mix, One Direction, and Bruno Mars were also given awards at the ceremony.
