SISTAR's Bora Shares Her Thoughts On Her Acting Debut

SISTAR's Bora recently got cast for the upcoming drama series, "Doctor Stranger". Bora's appearance on the show will be her debut into the world of acting, making her the second member of SISTAR to do so.

The singer recently had an interview in which she shared her thoughts about her first acting gig.

"We haven't started filming the drama yet, so I haven't had the chance to experience that sort of environment. But I am really looking forward to it. Quite frankly, I am feeling really pressured because this is my first drama filming. I am preparing really hard for this, and I am curious about how I would fare. Many of the actors are the same age as me, so I think the working environment would be great."

Bora will play a tomboyish North Korean defector named Lee Chung Yi who's long had a crush on Park Hoon, played by Lee Jong Suk. For her role, Bora will be speaking the North Korean dialect-a first for the singer. "How would I rate my skills at the dialect? I'd give it a 50 at the moment. When I first read it, I found the script really interesting. All the roles in the story are interesting. I've been thinking about how I could best present my role. I'm working very hard on understanding my role."

She added, "'Doctor Stranger' is the first project I auditioned for. Not long after I read the script, I immediately decided on auditioning. I was really nervous, but the director was friendly and he asked me to relax during the audition. I think he will be able to guide me will once filming commences. I will do my best to learn as much as possible."

Bora also shared that her fellow SISTAR members are very supportive of her new venture. Dasom even gave her some acting advice. "Dasom was really happy for me when she knew I got accepted for the part. She told me to do well. When I asked her for some advises, she told me things I didn't understand. Soyou and Hyolyn said my character's personality is quite similar to how I am in real life. I think I have that tough girl look in me. Everyone is showing their support."
