There's still a huge hype surrounding Girls' Generation's and 2NE1's overlapping schedules which resulted in this big girl group clash. While the two groups have commented that they don't feel any rivalry at all, YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk also commented that he mirrors the same thoughts.
On the March 15 episode of KBS 2TV's "Entertainment Relay", Yang Hyun Suk was asked to share his participation in creating 2NE1's choreography for "Come Back Home". Yang Hyun Suk said, "If you listen to 'Come Back Home', you can't help but think about Seo Taiji and Boys' 'Come Back Home'. So the choreographer and 2NE1 agreed that it would be nicer if the CEO, who also did the choreography for the original 'Come Back Home', participated in creating the choreography. So I did."
In relation to 2NE1's promotions, he also commented about the supposed rivalry between Girls' Generation and 2NE1. "It was a time when 2NE1 needed to release an album and by coincidence, Girls' Generation also made a comeback. I think of it as a competition in good faith and I think it is a period that is helping both groups."
Finally, the CEO was asked how 2NE1 edges over Girls' Generation. "CL participated in the writing and composing this time. [Both group's] musicality are different so rather than feeling like this album was a success among the public, I thought to myself that we can keep going further [with their potential]."
