JYJ member Xia has been cast as the male lead for the musical "December: A Never Ending Song". This will be Xia's fourth musical theatre project, and will run from December 8 to 29 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul.
An official statement was made by his agency, C-Jes Entertainment, saying, "Since he has received big support with his musical endeavours for the past three years, Xia came to positively consider the upcoming piece with which he can show another depth of character."
It was also said that Xia chose to take part in "December" because he liked the original musical's story, which centres on the life and music of Kim Kwang Seok, one of Korea's most iconic folk singer-songwriters who passed away in 1996.
As of this date, Xia has been busy preparing for his concerts in Australia and Japan. On his new musical, Xia said, "I promise to show a great performance and won't disappoint fans who have supported me and loved me as a musical threatre actor."
Xia made his first theatre performance in "Mozart" back in 2010. His acting was so powerful, tickets completely sold out. His recently-concluded musical, "Elizabeth", broke the record for having seats sold out in just 30 minutes.
