Korean actors are slowly taking over the international market, but Lee Min Ho is on a whole other level than most. The actor was reported offered 500 million won (approx. 470,000 USD) just to make a cameo appearance in a Chinese drama.

Hallyu experts Ma Seol shared on the March 26 broadcast of SBS' "Night of TV Entertainment" that Lee Min Ho's pay in China amounts to 500 million won per episode. "However, if he's not the main character, he can just do a cameo appearance. One production company even offered him 500 million won just to make a cameo appearance."

Furthermore, that particular episode of "Night of TV Entertainment" gave an analysis on the scale of popularity Korean dramas have achieved in China.

Other than Lee Min Ho, Kim Soo Hyun is also a huge star in his own right after having appeared on the mega hit drama series "You Who Came From The Stars". It was reported that one company saw an increase in their sales by 40% after enlisting Kim Soo Hyun as their model. Jun Ji Hyun also has the same effect, but for the actress the clothes and accessories she wears instantly became trending and in-demand.
