Lee Min Ho Talks About Kissing Scenes and His Ideal Roles

In a recent interview with "Star 1", Lee Min Ho talked about delivering romantic lines, and plans on his next role.

Top actor Lee Min Ho recently had an interview with “Star 1” magazine where he answered questions related to his role as a second generation heir in “The Heirs” and “Boys Over Flowers”. He also talked about his thoughts on delivering romantic lines and the type of roles he wants to portray next.

When asked about his thought on his now-famous “Do I like you?” line from “The Heirs”, Lee Min Ho said, “When I first received the script, I felt that it was really fresh. I thought ‘Wow, I’m able to express my feelings like this. I can create this effect and channel my emotions through.’ But when the staff first saw that particular line, they thought it was a typo.”

Lee Min Ho has kissed many girls in drama series, with Park Shin Hye being the latest. When asked if he ever felt shy kissing Park Shin Hye, Lee Min Ho shared, “I had a lot of affectionate scenes in ‘The Heirs’. But instead of being shy, I was determined to have those small, romantic scenes along with the kissing scene. [I wanted it] to feel natural and show who Kim Tan was. That’s what I was mostly concerned of. I remember [the crew] peeking out and looking at us with bright eyes from everywhere.”

With his long track record, Lee Min Ho has portrayed an array of roles from being a young heir to a skilled “city hunter”. But when it comes to that one role he thinks fits him best, Lee Min Ho expressed, “I think there are certain characters you can only portray at a certain age. I’m currently at a stage in my life where I’m looking for new roles, instead of finding roles that I feel suit me best. I want to play roles that are fixed on a certain genre.”

Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho will begin filming his upcoming noir film, “Gangnam Blues”.
