Although Crayon Pop is garnering positive responses and reviews for their track and music video, "UH-EE", the group's latest release has been determined unfit for broadcast by KBS.
According to KBS, "UH-EE" was deemed inappropriate for broadcast after its lyrics was found to contain the term "bbikka bbunjjuk", a Japanese expression similar to the Korean slang "bbunjjuk bbunjjuk" which means "shiny".
Despite KBS judgment, SBS and MBC have ok'd the music video and song for broadcast.
Chrome Entertainment immediately took action to remedy the problem, saying they have modified the "bbunjjuk bbunjjuk" part of the lyrics and has requested for another review by KBS.
The music video for "UH-EE" was wildly received by fans, and it garnered 1 million views on YouTube just a day after its release. Crayon Pop won fans over with their cute charms, unique dance routines, and their new hanbok-inspired outfits, completely different from their signature helmet-tracksuit uniforms.
