Guy Who Reported Hyoyeon to The Police Was Actually Her Then-Boyfriend

It is now revealed that the person who reported Hyoyeon to the police was her ex boyfriend of two years.

Other than breaking Tiffany's relationship with 2PM's Nichkhun, Hyoyeon released an exclusive report related to Hyoyeon's assault involvement earlier this week. According to Sports Seoul, the guy who reported Hyoyeon to the police was actually her now-ex boyfriend.

The report stated that the guy Hyoyeon accidentally hit had been her boyfriend of two years. The guy was identified as Kim Joon Hyung, with whom Hyoyeon was previously involved in a dating controversy that was denied by SM Entertainment. Hyoyeon and Kim Joon Hyun got to know each other through mutual friends, and their friendship developed into a two-year relationship.

Sports Seoul also said that Hyoyeon and Kim Joon Hyung had an on-off relationship. In the past month, they were spotted together again at a restaurant in Gangnam, heightening dating rumours.

An insider said, "That man is actually Hyoyeon's boyfriend. After that incident [April Fools' Day & police reporting] the two kind of drifted but up til then, they were a lovey-dovey couple. However, it's not clear how their relationship is now. After the joking around that grew into a big issue, it seems it'll be too burdensome for the two to continue to meet."

SM Entertainment quickly responded to Sports Seoul's claims and said that the two were indeed dating, but now have broken up. It is not clear when and why they broke up, but a rep from the agency clarified, "Hyoyeon and Kim Jun Hyung have already broken up."
