Strikingly contrary to her usual sexy and glamourous image, Clara softened up a bit in the cover shoot for Big Issue magazine.
In the photo set, Clara is dressed up in colourful knitted pieces representing fall fashion. She showed a softer, more refined version of herself by wearing less makeup than usual.
In the accompanying interview, Clara expressed her thoughts on being the talk of the town due to her behaviour. "I failed to notice my surroundings and I think I still have a lot of personal flaws. From now on, I need to become more experienced and humble. Due to this realization, I will work harder to earn love," the actress said.
In the past few weeks, Clara was caught in a string of controversies. During an SNL Korea appearance, Clara apologized for lying about not getting plastic surgery. However, her confession of misconduct led to her being possibly barred from guest pitching in Korea's professional baseball league.
Clara wishes to protect and take pride in her being an actress. "I am an actress," she said, "who garnered acting skills as best as I could for a long time. I want to be acknowledged as an actress."
When asked if she had any issues about maintaining a sexy image, Clara responded, "I believe if I show a different appearance in impending projects people will see a different side of me as well."
Netizens were divided on their reaction towards Clara's latest statements. Some showed support and wished her the best of luck in her endeavours and her promise of humility, while others were doubtful that she might make the same mistakes again.
Clara is set for the release of her Japanese movie "Ask Rikyu", which will hit theatres this December.
