Model Lee Sung Kyung has become the first actress to debut under YG Entertainment and its new partner company K Plus. Lee Sung Kyung will be making her screen debut in the SBS drama series "It's Okay, That's Love".
On April 9, YG Entertainment announced, "Lee Sung Kyung officially signed on as YG Entertainment and model company K PLUS' first joint actress. She has joined Cha Seung Won, Choi Ji Woo, and other actors as part of the YG family."
Lee Sung Kyung will take on the role of 19-year-old troubled student Ahn So Nyuh who gets expelled from school and works at a café run by popular mystery fiction writer and radio DJ Jang Jae Yeol, played by Jo In Sung. Lee Sung Kyung's character later becomes a counselor at the mental clinic she attends. During her stay, she meets university hospital doctor Ji Hye Soo, played by Gong Hyo Jin, who encourages her to become a medical student with a specialization in psychiatry.
The drama is another collaborative work by writer Noh Hee Kyung and director Kim Kyu Tae, the awesome tag team behind the critically acclaimed "That Winter The Wind Blows". The medical drama shows the story of people who struggle with mental problems.
"It's Okay, That's Love" will premiere in July after the "You're Surrounded" finale.
