After trying to cancel their schedules in grievance for the ferry tragedy, Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun was unwilling to attend the Samsung smartphone event and mini-concert.

Though Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun had cancelled their official scheduled events for April 17, they had to attend the Samsung smartphone 'Galaxy S5' promotional event held at Diamond Arena, Beijing on April 18 at 7 PM KST. The event featured a 'You Who Came From the Stars' concert with Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun, Sung Si Kyung, and Lyn.

A representative of Kim Soo Hyun's agency Key East Entertainment spoke to Xports News, "We requested to cancel our appearance at the event from our side multiple times." However, according to the representatives for Samsung Electronics, since it was a Chinese event and many celebrities have confirmed attendance, it would be difficult to cancel it.
