MBC Rejects Reports of Resuming Variety Shows

The said resume will start with variety program, "Radio Star" Recently, MBC had some confusion in their schedule that came out for this week as it had showed their regular variety shows airing in the regular time slots.

Recently, MBC had some confusion in their schedule that came out for this week as it had showed their regular variety shows airing in the regular time slots. Because of that, reports have stated that they will go back to their regular program, but the station has since then issued a statement to state that 'Radio Star' has been canceled, however the other shows this week may or may not air which will depend on the situation.

And because the station earlier stated that they will continue suspending variety shows, the new schedule had viewers think this meant the station may have decided to bring back regular programming would resume starting with 'Radio Star' on April 23.

However, MBC stated that for now 'Radio Star' is still cancelled. After a meeting on Aprill 22, a representative stated, "We believed that there is a risk in airing a variety show when mourning continues, so it has been canceled for this week... Following last week, this week's 'Radio Star' will also be suspended. Most of the variety shows aren't even recording at the moment, so it seems the variety shows suspension could continue."

Another representative commented, "'Stargazing', which is set for April 24, is also on the schedule, but the schedule may have changes depending on the situation. This also goes for the weekend variety shows."
