Four actresses will be joining in the Cannes International Film Festival, which will start on May 14. Stars, Jeon Do Yeon, Song Hye Kyo, Bae Doo Na and Kim Se Ron will go to south of France, wherein they will be taking part in the set activities. Jeon Do Yeon received the Best Actress award at the festival in 2007 for playing a role in “Secret Sunshine,” which was directed by Lee Chang Dong, and will be a member of the jury panel this year.
Lee Chang Dong is renowned in the film festival. He has won an award for Best Screenplay in 2010 for the movie “Poetry.” His recent film, “A Girl at My Door,” stars Bae Doo Na and Kim Se Ron, is set to be shown be screening at Cannes, with both actresses in attendance.
Song Hye Kyo is also set to be seen in the festival. She will be joining John Woo, director of her forthcoming movie, “The Crossing,” for a press conference and a some interviews. Though the film, “The Crossing” will not be shown at Cannes, the makers are hopeful that, with the world’s media in attendance, it will show interest to the public. The movie is scheduled for release in winter this year.
