On May 27, rising star, EXO is set to attend the Baeksang Awards!
The Baeksang Awards is celebrating there 50th year in the entertainment industry, wherein Korea’s most known and prominent film and television stars will be acknowledge for their works. The Baeksang Art Awards is considered to be Korea’s equivalent to the Oscars.
A representative for the event explained the reason for inviting EXO-K, saying, “Baeksang invites a top musical artist or group to perform every year. This year we decided on EXO-K. The group’s music and dancing makes them the best choice for this ceremony.”
EXO-K will be performing their latest track, “Overdose,” at the end of part one of the event.
The awards ceremony will be taking place at Seoul’s Kyung Hee University, and will be aired live on JTBC.
In line with the news, EXO has been conquering the charts with their latest mini-album. They also have sold seats out in both Korea and China for their "EXO: The Lost Planet" tour, proving that they are in demand not only domestically but also globally!
