Boyfriend's Jeongmin Reportedly Injured Ankle Days Before Group Comeback

Boyfriend member Jeongmin is reportedly suffering from a minor ankle injure just a few days before Boyfriend's comeback in Korea.

Boyfriend member Jeongmin is reportedly suffering from a minor ankle injury just a few days before Boyfriend's comeback in Korea.

On June 4, a representative from Starship Entertainment said, "Boyfriend member Jeongmin was diagnosed with an ankle ligament injury on the 3rd and we are currently waiting for more detailed [medical] examination results. We are very flustered and sorry to the fans for this happening right before their comeback."

According to the representative, despite his sprained ankle Jeongmin is determined to take part in Boyfriend's comeback activities. However, the agency feels the need to examine Jeongmin's condition at first before a final decision on his status is made. "Boyfriend recorded their song and made adjustments to their choreography multiple times for their domestic comeback throughout the past year and five months, and now we are fully ready. Although we respect Jeongmin's wishes, we will consider all of the circumstances and make our final decision," the rep said.

This will be Boyfriend's first domestic comeback in one year and five months! The group will drop this second mini album "Obsession" and will have their first comeback stage on "M! Countdown" this June 5. In addition, they will also hold a comeback showcase at AX Korea on June 9^th to coincide with the album release.

In related news, Boyfriend just recently wrapped up their successful solo concert in Japan, which was attended by 10,000 fans!

In celebration of the release of their 5^th Japanese single "Start Up!" the boys held the "Boyfriend Love Communication 2014 - Start Up" at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall on May 31 to June 1. On June 2, the boys tweeted, "We were able to finish our Japanese concert safe and sound thanks to the supportive fans! We sincerely thank all of Boyfriend's fans who came. We will show a cool stage in Korea as well!"
