JYP Entertainment's rookie boy group has announced their official comeback date this June!
Ahead of the official release date for their album, GOT7 will be having a comeback showcase at AX Korea on June 18th at 7:30PM KST. Fans who are members of GOT7's official fan club "IGOT7" will have the first listen to the group's new songs which will be performed at the event. Fans can also expect to see the boys wow them with individual performances. At the event, GOT7 and their fans will certainly get up close and personal with each other.
Afterwards, GOT7 will be performing their comeback stage on "M! Countdown" on June 19, and will be followed by the official release of their new music video on June 23.
A representative of JYP Entertainment said, "GOT7 will return to fans on June 23... We ask for a lot of anticipation and support for the comeback of GOT7, who made a refreshing debut with their martial arts skills as JYP's first hip hop group back this year in January."
This will be GOT7's comeback after 6 months of break. The boys made their debut in January this year with the chart-topping track, "Girls Girls Girls" from their first album "Got It?" GOT7 immediately became a huge hit, leading to successful introductions in Japan and even the international music scene. The group was even dubbed the fastest rising rookie group of today, entering the Billboard World Album Charts this early in their career.
GOT7's label seniors 2PM were supposed to make a comeback this summer. However, it was planned that their comeback would be pushed back to make way for GOT7's activities. The group was initially slated for an April comeback, with news saying that the group has already started filming a music video. However, due to their individual activities the comeback was postponed until the first week of June. The group decided that it would be better to have more time to work on the album as well as fulfill individual activities, and thus the decision to delay the comeback. They also did this to have GOT7 make their comeback first.
