Millenium Boy also nicknamed EXO-T has been getting attention in both a positive and negative way. Though they have been getting popular they also have been receiving a lot of criticism due to the imitation of SM's EXO.
The cover group consists of eleven Thai members and one Korean. They have been gaining popularity for covering EXO's dances and songs, and also winning at the '2013 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival' with their performance of EXO's "Growl."
The group has 90,000 fan members already and they have held fan meetings and made TV appearances in their country. They even had a hosting an event in Indonesia! In every event they go to, they have been using EXO's group logo, poster, and album designs. Not to mention, they've also imitated the members' hairstyles, outfits, minor habits, and even their signs. Due to the common things, their fans have started to call them EXO-T, which is similar to EXO-M and EXO-K, however some made comments that they're better than the original.
Because of the Korean fans' complaints, Millenium Boy posted an explanation and apology onto their YouTube channel, basically saying, "The money we received during our fan meeting was used for our event. We made and sold clothes, bracelets, and hats because we were following our fans' requests; they were not commercial promotions."
A SM Entertainment representative stated, "It is illegal to use EXO's intellectual property without permission, so we plan on taking action in the future regarding their commercial promotions."
