With many wondering, new updates on EXO Kris’ possible career move has been revealed.

On June 16, director Guo Jingming attended the press conference with the main cast of “Tiny Time 3” at the Shanghai International Film Festival where he made an official statement regarding Kris’ acting project.

The director said, “Yifan [Kris] is a good actor. We haven’t yet started on the scenario. Once the project gets started, we’ll have a discussion. We need time to prepare.”

The director added, “Our [Yifan and I] project is going to be quite a fun and mysterious one. I can’t say anything right now, but when the time is right, you’ll find out,” revealing Kris’ impending debut as an actor.

Guo Jingming is the director of the popular film sage “Tiny Times”. He also authors the novel on which the movie is based. In previous reports, it was mentioned that Kris may well be on his way to pursuing an acting career in China, beginning with rumors that he will star in Guo Jingming’s upcoming “City of Fantasy” movie project. “City of Fantasy” is based on the director’s first book.

In related news, the Seoul Central District Court said on June 11 that Kris’ lawsuit against SM Entertainment has been forwarded to arbitration. With this arbitration, the parties involved will be given the chance to come to an agreement. If ever Kris and SM Entertainment fail to reach an understanding, the case will proceed to the court as planned.
