American music channel FUSE selects 2NE1's newest album “CRUSH” as one of “25 Best Album of 2014 so far” as of June 16.
One of the reasons of the American channel on why they chose the album is because it is a full length album which fans have been waiting for for nearly four years.
FUSE also stated that "CRUSH" proves 2NE1’s knack for genre-melding from the beginning, opening with the title track that blends an Indian tabla drums and switchboard-button buzzing, which is followed by the reggae/trap-hybrid single “Come Back Home.” The leader of the group and head rapper CL also takes center stage on incredible solo track “MTBD,” that sounds like more of an upgraded version of DJ Snake’s “Turn Down for What.”
Also another reason for choosing the album, is that "CRUSH" gets to break the record for the for the first week sales for a K-pop album in United States as mentioned by Billboard.
Furthermore, 2NE1 is scheduled to start their Japanese promotion by releasing Japanese version album of “CRUSH” on June 25.
