As previously reported, SM Entertainment has been told by KBS that f(x)'s latest release "Red Light" was deemed unfit for broadcast following the results of their initial screening. According to the broadcast network, the song contained the word "Caterpillar" and that it could easily be referred to as the international company known for producing heavy equipment. And it is well-known the brand dropping is a no-no in terms of broadcast rules and regulations.
In response to KBS' notice, SM Entertainment has made the necessary modifications to the song. Instead of singing "caterpillar", the term has been changed to "mu-han-gwe-do", the Korean word for a caterpillar tractor, which could also mean "unlimited orbit".
The new version has been resubmitted to KBS for review, and not long after the said broadcast network announced that "Red Light" has passed KBS' censorship standards and is now deemed fit for broadcast.
In the meantime, f(x) has unveiled their much-awaited music video for "Red Light", which is causing a lot of buzz for the group's unconventionally mature concept and catchy R&B-influenced tune.
F(x) will have their comeback stage on "M! Countdown", and the full "Red Light" album will drop on July 7.
