On July 11, shocking news pertaining to Son Ho Young's involvement with investigations on illegal drug use surfaced the media.

According to reports, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors office had summoned g.o.d member Son Ho Young last month for allegedly violating narcotic laws. The reports mentioned a drug called Zolpidem, which is typically used as a long-term treatment for insomnia. With side effects such as hallucination, the drug can only be used with prescription from a physician. According to prosecutors, Son Ho Young started taking multiple pills of Zolpidem after the suicide of his girlfriend, which also led to his suicide attempt in May 2013. Forensics found evidence of the drug and had submitted it to the prosecutors' office for investigation.

Son Ho Young's representative issued a statement in response to the news, saying they were not concerned about the investigation. The rep said, "It is true that we received an investigation. However, although Son Ho Young had taken Zolpiden after last year's unfortunate incidents, he has undergone tests to prove he has not taken it in recent times. Because he did not take excessive doses, it wasn't a problem. This [case] had been closed since March this year, and we don't understand why it's suddenly being brought up for investigation again."

However, this news doesn't seem to affect the singer's participation in g.o.d's comeback concert this July 12. At the press conference prior to the concert, Son Ho Young is expected to personally talk about the matter in front of the press.

Other than their comeback concerts this July 12 and 13, g.o.d also released their 8th mini album this year, causing much jubilee to fans who've been waiting for their return.
