Earlier this month, reports confirming KARA’s much-awaited group comeback piqued the interest of many fans, especially since they will be introducing new member Youngji. In recent news, K-pop insiders reveal new information about the group’s comeback preparations. According to several unnamed insiders, quoted in an article by media outlet enews24, the group has projected a release date of August. KARA has also begun filming their upcoming music video.
A source even said, “Kara will be making a comeback with a new collaboration with [music producer and song writer] Duble Sidekick. They filmed the music video on July 9 at a location somewhere in Gyeonggi Province.”
As to Youngji’s joining the group, a source revealed, “Since Youngji has joined, she has given Kara something of an energy boost.” Youngji was hailed the winner of the survival program “KARA Project”. With her joining the group, KARA will return as a quintet. The group will also be heading to a tour in Japan this October.
In a previous statement, KARA’s agency said that the girls are happy to have Youngji join the group and leader Gyuri is doing her best to guide the girls in this phase of reformation. A source supported this and said, “All of the members have resolved to make this album a success.”
This will be KARA’s first group activity since former members Nicole and Jiyoung left the group.
