Joo Won Diligently Preparing For Lead Role in "Nodame Cantabile"

Joo Won showed how dedicated he is to his role by sharing how he is preparing for it. Although everyone knows that Joo Won has awesome vocal chops, the singer-actor admitted that he’s still got a lot of work to do to give justice to his role Chiaki Shinichi in the upcoming Korean remake of the musical “Nodame Cantabile”.

Although everyone knows that Joo Won has awesome vocal chops, the singer-actor admitted that he’s still got a lot of work to do to give justice to his role Chiaki Shinichi in the upcoming Korean remake of the musical “Nodame Cantabile”. Joo Won showed how dedicated he is to his role by sharing how he is preparing for the role.

Through his agency, SM Entertainment, it was revealed to Star News on July 15 that, "Joo Won is diligently learning how to conduct as well as play the piano and violin for his role as a musical prodigy. He is determined to show everybody how perfectly he can capture the character like he has done before [with other characters] on the small screen."

Time is racing towards the filming of “Nodame Cantabile” this August. Unfortunately for the production team, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA has dropped out of the musical drama since she has also been cast in an upcoming Chinese-Korean movie. Shim Eun Kyung, who was originally offered the role of the female lead, is once again in negotiations to star in the movie since her movie filming has been postponed momentarily.

“Nodame Cantabile” is set to air this October on KBS 2TV. Stay tuned for updates on who bags the role of the female lead!
