Heechul Admits To Have Known Park Bom's Drug Case at the Time It Happened

On JTBC's "Ssul Jeon", the panel discussed the issues surrounding Park Bom's illegal drugs suit with Heechul admitting he already new about it before the news.

The July 17th episode of JTBC's "Ssul Jeon" was both controversy-filled yet heartbreaking at the same time. On the show, the panel discussed the issues surrounding Park Bom's illegal drugs suit, and Super Junior's Heechul also made his final adieu to the show.

In Segye Ilbo's exclusive report, it was revealed that Park Bom attempted to "smuggle" illegal amphetamines into South Korea from the United States back in 2010. Although the singer was investigated, charges against her were dropped and not a singer strand of the story went public until today. Although the news had been belatedly revealed, Heechul admits that he actually already heard about the story around the time it actually occurred.

Heechul stated, "Celebrities hear about rumors like this very early on.  I was drinking with some reporters [four years ago] at a bar when this topic had came up.  The reporters said, 'YG is going to burst soon,' but the report didn't even come out in the end.  I thought, 'This is why reporters get so much criticism,' and thought it was just a false rumor, but the report came out recently."

Furthermore on "Ssul Jeon", everyone's well-loved critic Heechul will be stepping down from the show with respect to his personal choice. In his previously released statement, Heechul said it has become difficult for him to talk about his close friends in public. Also, he revealed that he will be going back and forth overseas for Super Junior's busy comeback schedule, thus he will be unable to fulfil his duties on the show.

In the meantime, netizens have been petitioning for Park Bom to step down as one of the permanent cast members of "Roommate", following her drug scandal and her cursing scandal (wherein she was bleeped out during Park Min Woo's sleeping-while-driving scene).
