Girls Generation's Jessica accepts "Best Global Idol Group" award in behalf of SNSD at the 10th Annual Huading Awards in Macau

Just recently, Jessica attended the star-studded 10^th Annual Huading Awards held at the Venetian Macao in Macau. She received the award for "Best Global Idol Group" in behalf of Girls' Generation.

The 9-member Korean girl group defeated international acts including American hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas, British boy bands Blue and One Direction, and label-mate Super Junior.

The award was present to Jessica by former K-pop celebrity and no Chinese actor Yoo Seung Joon (Steve Yoo in China). Jessica, after receiving the trophy, gave a brief thanks to fans and telling them that the other Girls' Generation members sent their regards. Jessica closed her remarks by sweetly saying "Xie Xie", which translates to "thank you" in Mandarin.

The Huading Awards is a votes-based award giving ceremony that originally recognized Chinese athletes and entertainers that excelled in their field. However, this year, the event has expanded so to honor artists and athletes from all over the globe, thus the nomination and appearance of many internationally-acclaimed personalities such as Quentin Tarantino, Nicholas Cage, Jeremy Irons, Sam Worthington, Nicole Kidman, and Jackie Jackson to name a few.

The dubbed "global audience reputation award" determines its winners by having the audience vote for their favourites online and through newspapers.
