Yesterday, 2AM member Jinwoon was involved in a car accident where his vehicle collided with a 25-ton truck. The singer and his staff was rushed to the Samsung Medical Center to receive medical treatment.
Today, Big Hit Entertainment released a statement regarding Jinwoon's ankle surgery, assuring fans that they have nothing to worry about since the operation went well.
In their statement, Big Hit said, "After safely completing surgery on the 7th at 6PM KST, Jinwoon is recovering back to stability. Because we have to see his progress, the date of his release from the hospital has not been decided yet.
"He is fine enough to send text messages on his phone. Although he received treatment for his [ankle] fracture at the hospital, he has yet to receive treatment for his laceration, so we are watching him closely."
The representative also said that, although Jinwoon might have difficulties fulfilling his scheduled activities, he will be likely to be fully recovered by December just in time for 2AM's Nocturne concert.
Due to the amount of injuries Jinwoon obtained during the October 6th accident, the agency and his doctors are keeping a close eye on his progress. In the meantime, Jinwoon's current activities are postponed.
