It hasn't been that long since YG Entertainment's much-awaited rookie group WINNER made their official debut. The group blew expectations by achieving their first all-kill on domestic charts. What's more, they've since surpassed the 1 million viewer mark on YouTube and are currently on the top of iTunes charts in various countries such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. They also made it to number 39 on the U.S iTunes chart.

Even before their official group debut, WINNER had already shown so much promise, with many pegging them as the next boy band to look out for. However, it seems that many were completely surprised by the staggering success the group has achieved so far-even the members themselves couldn't believe it.

In a recent interview, the boys expressed their reaction towards their success.

Kang Seung Yoon said, "It was a totally unexpected result so it was bewildering. In order to repay the support that our fans have given us, I thought that I should work harder."

Song Min Ho (Mino) added, "I'm deeply moved by it! Thank you so much! It's amazing. More and more fighting!"

Nam Tae Hyun said, "I can't believe it."

As for Kim Jin Woo he said, "I'm really happy. It feels surreal. I will work harder."

Lee Seung Hoon also mentioned his rookie label mate, Akdong Musician,  "Lee Hi and Akdong Musician achieved good results that are not typical of rookies before us so I congratulated them, but at the same time I felt a lot of pressure. As much as we prepared a long time, the results turned out to be good so it feels like I made it up to those who waited for us so I'm happy."

In the meantime, fans can catch WINNER's performance at the AIA Real Life: Now Festival 2014, during which they will be with other YG artists this August 15. On August 17, the group will then make their official debut performance on Inkigayo.
