With the new breed of boy groups coming out and dominating charts lately many are wondering how the older groups such as Super Junior are faring in the competition. But it seems like the guys of Super Junior have nothing to worry since their much-awaited comeback with "Mamacita" was bigger and more successful than anticipated.

Super Junior did not fail to deliver in terms of quality and class after two years of hiatus. The group recently returned full force under the leadership of Leeteuk, who was discharged from military service in July this year.

The 12-member band has been capturing the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. Other than their good looks and pure talent, the group's massive number was an easy identifier and Super Junior was dubbed as the biggest (literally) Korean boy group in recent times. However, the hyungs may have to take a slight side step as their younger label mates, EXO, has usurpsed them of their throne.

Without a doubt, EXO has exceeded expectations. They've topped charts left and right, and have bagged awards domestically and abroad. Currently, they hold a growing fan base numbered at millions. The question now is, do the guys of Super Junior feel, at all, intimidated? Leeteuk's firm answer: No.

At a recent press conference for the group's comeback, the guys addressed some of the concerns with their return, particularly the gruelling competition among boy bands nowadays.

Eunhyuk said, "Are we really worried that EXO's doing well and having lots of fans? Honestly, no. We know fans are free to choose who to support. However, we don't feel threatened at all. In fact, we are quite proud."

Moreover, Leeteuk commented that unlike the newer groups, Super Junior has returned as "real men", which shows a huge difference to how they looked like when they first debuted 10 years ago.

On the topic of their latest track "Mamacita", the boys explained, "The term ['Mamacita'] has different meanings. In English, it can be used in an expression such as 'She is gorgeous,'" the Korea Herald reports.
