There seems to be a lot going in the entertainment industry these days, including GLAM's Dahee's involvement in a blackmail case filed by top actor Lee Byung Hun. According to reports, the "Terminator 5" star filed a complaint against Dahee and her model friend for threatening to release a somewhat scandalous video of the actor if he would not heed to their demand of 5 billion KRW.

Dahee and her friend admitted to their crime. They were already brought in for questioning, after which the judge will decide on the finality of their arrest and penalty.

The September 3 broadcast of SBS' "One Night of TV Entertainment" tackled the controversy with the presence of Attorney Im Bang Geul who gave legal commentaries on the issue.

The hosts asked what possible penalty might be imposed on the two female suspects after pleading guilty to the blackmail. According to Attorney Im Bang Geul, in cases of blackmailing, a prison sentence of less than ten years is the penalty plus a fine of less than 20 million KRW ($20,000 USD).

And if Dahee and her friend thinks they'll get out of this easily, they're might actually not. Lee Byung Hun's agency firmly stated that they will not take this case lightly, and even warned people that they will be taking legal action against perpetrators of rumors against Lee Byung Hun.

Moreover, Attorney Im Bang Geul said that since the two suspects made a huge demand of 5 billion KRW, the aggravating circumstance could possibly increase their prison sentence to an addition 5 years.

As to the real penalties imposed on Dahee and her friend, the Seoul District Court judge has not made a final judgment yet.

Nevertheless, GLAM's agency is closely keeping tabs on the issue. Until a final resolution will be issue, the agency will not yet comment on Dahee's future status with the group.
