Jiyoung To Make Her Acting Debut In Japan With "Hell Teacher Nube"

Jiyoung is starting to become active in Japan again! Fans of former KARA member Jiyoung are in for a treat as she currently got involved in a new model gig plus her first acting project is in the works! The singer-actress was spotted at the "19th Tokyo Girls Collecton" event on September 6 at the Saitama Super Arena where she strutted down the runway as one of the models.

Fans of former KARA member Jiyoung are in for a treat as she currently got involved in a new model gig plus her first acting project is in the works!

The singer-actress was spotted at the "19^th Tokyo Girls Collecton" event on September 6 at the Saitama Super Arena where she strutted down the runway as one of the models. This is Jiyoung's first public appearance after she split from KARA early this year. Since it was her first time out, she greeted fans warmly and said, "I'm so happy to be able to appear in front of you after a long time! How's everyone doing? From here on, I will work hard as an actress without forgetting where I came from. Please support me!"

As she's starting to become more active in Japan again, her current agency, Sweet Power, announced that Jiyoung will be starring in the upcoming drama series "Hell Teacher Nube", which is an adaptation of the hit anime of the same name. The story centers on an elementary school teacher who protects his student from ghosts by fighting them off. Jiyoung will play one of the ghosts named Yukime. She will star alongside big Japanese actors such as Kiritani Mirei, Maruyama Ryuhei, and Chinen Yuri.

Even after leaving KARA and staying in the UK for a while to study language, it seems that Jiyoung's still has the affection, love, and support of her Japanese followers. She's still well received as a solo artist and actress. Even Sweet Power has nothing but praises for their new star. They even went on to say that there's a possibility Jiyoung might promote overseas because she has the potential to become an internationally-recognized actress!

In the meantime, KARA recently made their comeback as a group of 4 with a new member. it was reported that Jiyoung still maintains a good relationship with her former KARA group mates thus a reunion between them in Japan is highly anticipated by fans.
