Sandara Park Gives Hope; Writes Letter for a Fan Struggling with Cancer

2NE1 cutie pie Sandara Park is another proof that celebrities, despite their hectic schedules, can find time to give back to their fans and express all their love.

On October 16, the 2NE1 member posted a message on Twitter address to a fan named Loreign who is suffering from cancer.

Sandara expressed her gratitude, writing, "Hi Loreign! This is Dara! I'm really glad to know that I have such a great fan like you."

She continued, "I know you are having a hard time right now but please be strong and stay positive! I really hope that you will get well enough to come to our next show when we are there [in Puerto Rico], which I would personally invite you to!" the singer uplifted the fan.

"You are in my prayers and I will be thinking of you every time I go on stage or stand in front of a camera. Always know that I, Dara, will be rooting for you in your tough fight. Best wishes and lost of love, Dara."

Loreign got the singer's attention after her friends sent Sandara a message on October 15.

Loreign's friends told Sandara her story, "She is our sister, Loreign from Puerto Rico. Loreign is an avid VIP and Blackjack. Her particular biases are yourself and member Taeyang from Big Bang." Attached to their message was a request asking Sandara to write a message dedicated to Loreign in order to "give [Loreign] the boost that she needs to pull through this critical stage."

According to the letter sent in by friends, Loreign has been struggling with lung problems early in 2013. Eventually, the issue transformed into cancer than has now spread to most of her body. The doctor confirmed that Loreign only had four to six months left to live. However, the patient remains strong and willingly goes through chemotherapy and target treatments.

Loreign was recently admitted to the hospital again for pneumonia which lead to the cancer spreading to her stomach. Doctors could no longer assure her friends and family that she will last until the end of the week.

Because of her kind act, Sandara received praises from fans. "Sandara Park is so nice and warm-hearted," one fan commented. Other Blackjacks also sent their prayers and well-wishes to Loreign, "I hope Loreign will recover from her sickness..."
