B.A.P Files to Nullify their Contract, TS Entertainment Gives their Statement on This!

Hip hop group B.A.P is under fire due to their claim to nullify their contract with TS Entertainment

On November 26, news outlet Xsports News has reported that B.A.P has filed a lawsuit against their agency, TS Entertainment in the Seoul Western District Court. All the six members of the group wanted their contracts to be terminated as reports allegedly said that their contract was unfavourable to them.

Reports have also stated that the contract starting date was not the same when the contracts were signed, but the date of the release of the first album, and will continue for a duration of seven plus years. Also, the contract has been out of standards from the Fair Trade Commission, which has unfair clauses.

Meanwhile, TS Entertainment releases a statement,

"Thus far, TS Entertainment has done our best to support our artist B.A.P and the group’s various promotions with a common goal. As we revealed this past October 28, with the condition of our artists the primary concern, we canceled all official promotions for the group, and they were taking a break. In the midst of discussions with the group about their future promotions, we found out about the sudden lawsuit through news reports.

Currently, we are looking into the details of the matter. However, the ‘unfair contract clauses’ and ‘slave contracts,’ that were mentioned in previous reports as the main issues brought up by the lawsuit do not exist, and unilateral unfair treatment of the artist by our agency also never happened.

Upon confirming the details of the lawsuit, we will be taking the proper steps to see it through. We sincerely apologize to all the fans of TS Entertainment artists for causing concern."

It was on October 28, when TS Entertainment released a statement on their homepage saying that B.A.P will be canceling their South American tour to give the group time to rest and recharge.
