K-pop groups 2NE1 and EXO has been outstanding this year as they enter Billboard's World Album Chart.
SM Entertainment's male group, EXO, placed into 7th place of Billboard's World Album Chart. This is not that surprising to see as EXO has again rose to the top this year with their third EP, "Overdose." In this album, the group had been split into EXO-M and EXO-K for promotions. EXO-K's version entered the Billboard 200, placing at number 126, while EXO-M's Chinese version, went in number 8 in the 'Heatseekers Album' Chart.
Also, EXO has just received EXO a lot of awards in the recently held awards ceremony, Mnet Asian Music Awards also known as MAMA. The group got "Album of the Year," "Best Male Group," and the “Artist of the Year” award, making them prove their continuous popularity in Asia.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment's girl group, 2NE1, came in 9th place in the Billboard's World Album Chart 2014 with album, "Crush" which entered the Billboard 200 last February in 61st place, making the first K-pop group to place the highest.
