2NE1's 'Crush' Ranks Among the Rolling Stone's 20 Best Pop Albums of 2014

Another prestigious moment has been given to 2NE1 as they are recognized as one of the 20 Best Pop Albums of the Rolling Stone for 2014.

"Crush" which was released last February has been recognized by Rolling Stone as the 6th Best Pop album. This album tags along with the biggest names in US music such as Taylor Swift’s "1989," Pharrell Williams’ "Girl," Ariana Grande’s "My Everything," and Maroon 5’s "V." This is the only Korean album to be ranked by the Rolling Stone. This album has also been one of the highest to place in the Billboard 200, which ranked at 61, the first Korean act to be placed that high.

The Rolling Stone introduced the girls as "Female foursome 2NE1, buoyed by a cameo on ‘The Bachelor,’ moved more units of their album in its first week of release than any previous Korean act."

2NE1 has gained popularity as their hit song "I am Best" was also used for a theme song in Microsoft..
