Yang Hyun Suk Explains Why He Unfollowed Seungri and Park Bom on Instagram

"I didn't know who I followed on Instagram would cause a big issue," the CEO quipped.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk stirred a buzz a few days ago when fans noticed that he had unfollowed 2NE1's Park Bom and Big Bang's Seungri on Instagram.

With this move, several theories came to the surface such as that Big Bang's Seungri might not be renewing his contract with YG Entertainment which will expire soon. Some also speculated that Yang Hyun Suk might not be on good terms with both Seungri and Park Bom.

To put the discussions to rest, Yang Hyun Suk has revealed the real reason as to why he unfollowed both artists on Instagram. On April 16 Yang Hyun Suk said that the speculations are false, "To be honest, I'm from the analogue era so I only use social networking such as Instagram once or twice a year. I recently logged in to make a congratulatory post for Jinusean on their much-awaited comeback. Also, I made measures to only follow people who use SNS a lot lately."

"The people I originally followed on Instagram were Big Bang's G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri, and 2NE1's CL, Park Bom, and Dara. That's only 6 people whom I followed first on Instagram. As for Park Bom, she doesn't use Instagram a lot these days, so I unfollowed her. Since G-Dragon and Taeyang use it often, I continued to follow their accounts," Yang Hyun Suk explained he unfollowed Park Bom and Seungri due to their inactivity on Instagram.

Yang Hyun Suk further reassured fans that there's no bad blood between him and Park Bom nor Seungri. "Big Bang's new album will be released soon so I don't see any reason why I should unfollow Seungri for no particular reason. I don't have any problem with Seungri or Park Bom. I didn't know that who I follow on Instagram would cause such a big issue," the CEO said.
