SHINee finally staged their comeback with their 6TH Korean album "Odd". At their recently held concert, "SHINee World IV in Seoul" in Olympic Park's Olympic Stadium, the boys revealed some details behind their title track "View".
Jonhyun is man who penned the lyrics for "View" and he received a positive comment from Lee Soo Man because of it. "I ran into Lee Soo Man during the wedding ceremony for his assistant. Instead of greeting me first, he just immediately complimented me and told me, 'The lyrics are great!' After I heard his comment, I felt like my worries just vanished," Jonghyun said.
"Odd" is SHINee's first album in over a year, following "Why So Serious? - Misconceptions of Me" which was released in 2013. The SHINee members said that since this is their first album in a long time, they really gave much thought on how they should execute it. "Since it's our first album in a year and seven months, and since it's already been seven years since we made our debut this album is something we really gave a lot of thought on. [This album] reinterprets and reconnects to our previous albums. It'll be fun to spot those things," the members said.
In the meantime, you can really tell that SHINee has been missed by looking at their performance in the charts these days. "Odd" is currently at the top of iTunes album charts in various countries including Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Singapore. As of May 18, the album is also listed on the number spot of "K-Pop Album" charts in Hong Kong, Thailand, Macao, Taiwan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Congratulations, SHINee!
