JYJ member Junsu once again proved himself to be one of the best singers in Korea's entertainment industry. The singer, actor, and theatre icon was voted as the top male idol in terms of singing prowess in a recent poll on news outlet Nate.
The poll, tiled "Idol Rediscovery: Which Male Idol Has The Best Vocal Ability?", saw over 400,000 votes entered. The poll listed JYJ's Junsu, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, and CNBLUE's Yonghwa, B2ST's Yoseob, B1A4's Sandeul, SHINee's Jonghyun, EXO's D.O, Big Bang's Taeyang as one of the 9 options, the 10th option was the general term "other".
Junsu landed the win by a landslide, having scored 53% of the votes. Yonghwa followed far behind in second place with 20% of the votes. Kyuhyun was in third place with 16% of the votes, followed by Yoseob (8%), and Sandeul (1%).
Commenters showed their approval of the voting results, saying that Junsu is in fact the best male singer this generation has ever seen.
In related news, Junsu will be releasing a special edition album on May 28. According to C-JeS Entertainment the album will contain the double title tracks featured in his third solo album, namely the disco-punk remix of "X Song" and the instrumental version of the track "Flowers". The agency further revealed that a special DVD will also be released and will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes footages, interviews, and 50 unreleased photos of Junsu.
Junsu's album "Flower" performed well on the charts, making expectations run high for Junsu' upcoming special edition release. The album is open for pre-orders starting May 15th.
