On November 13, Kang Min Kyung has filed a lawsuit against three netizens for making alterations of her picture through photoshop and spreading a insulting image of the singer on the Internet.

Investigations have showed that the netizens posted a photo just this March on several community sites and blogs with a title, "Kang Min Kyung's Sponsor Photo." The photo had an image of a woman looks like Kang Min Kyung. The woman was wearing tight lingerie and was sitting beside a man which seemed to look like they were in a bar. Together with the said photo, a screen cap of a made-up conversation among people who were pretending to be Kang Min Kyung's agency people was uploaded as well. The fake conversation had messages like "We need to quickly stop this." The photos and screen caps were then proven to be fake.

The representatives of Kang Min Kyung stated these netizen's IDs to the authorities, and the investigations had the identities of the suspects. It has been reported that another netizen has been accused but the authorities have not got the person's actual identity, making them drop the charges against him/her.

Representatives from the prosecution said, "Defamation of public figures on the Internet is getting worse so the punishment will be stronger. We have requested for an official hearing for this case."
