The three music festivals of Japan, (NHK's red and white teams 'Kohaku Uta Gassen', Yomiuri TV's Best Hit Music Festival, and Fuji TV FNS Music Festival) has already revealed their guest line-ups on November 25, however it seems like that there was no Korean artists included for the second consecutive row.
They have invited renowned singers including AKB48 and Aiko, however there were no Korean artists' such as KARA, TVXQ, or 2PM, though they have ranked in first place on the Oricon this year. It looks like that this is the second year that Korean singers, though their successful careers in Japan, are not included from these events.
Last year, the public have wondered that maybe this was due to the political strain between Korea and Japan for the possession of Dokdo Island. However, NHK had insisted that the occurrence had nothing to do with that, saying that the Korean artists' results was not that high compared to 2011 when TVXQ, Girls' Generation, and KARA had joined in all three music festivals.
It is still unknown if the reason is till the same for this years' festivals.
